You never know when and where you’ll find a passion to last a lifetime! About 50 years ago, when Anna Anderson’s young family was living in Australia (where her husband was employed) she went looking for her young daughter, and there she was, being taught how to knit by a local woman. They invited Anna to join in, and she has been knitting ever since.
Anna is one of the artists I discovered in the Creative Corners Co-op in Colfax. Her section is filled with colorful knitted hats, scarves, shawls, baby blankets, and adorable doll clothes. Pictured here is her first knitting project–a jacket for her daughter’s first doll, way back when!
Anna knits so many different items it was difficult to choose what to take a picture of. Here she is, surrounded by her art!
Anna would love to welcome you to Creative Corners on her regular day, Fridays from 11 to 5. Drop in and tell her Sheila sent you!
The dollies look very happy in their pretty shawls! I’m sure you make many people happy with your beautiful creations!
How sweetly you keep yesteryear alive…
