Late in October, paper-artists Susan Johnson, Janice Rosenthal-Rock, and Katrina Benny, started thinking about all the upcoming holiday opportunities for fanciful paper-art: Fall greeting cards, cheerful 3-D Halloween decorations, table decor for Thanksgiving, and then, Wo-La! Christmas!
Overcome with creative energy, they came up with a grand idea: “Let’s give a paper-art party for our students. We’ll call it “Handmade Holidays!”
They invited sixteen creative divas to a paper-art extravaganza. For a nominal fee, each participant received a bag consisting of three 3-D projects, the materials required for six fancy Christmas cards, a chance to win a drawing for gift cards from Michaels, Hobby Lobby, or Ben Franklin, entry into a guess-the-number of candies in a jar contest, and, for each participant, a surprise party favor.
And so … they came! Table after table of paper-art divas, happily cutting, gluing, and sprinkling glitter with themes from Fall to Christmas.
Bravo, Susan, Janice, and Katrina, not only for your own creativity, but for inspiring creativity in others. Let’s all give them a round of applause!
Wonderful

Love all those gray haired divas creating with focused fervor.
So glad everyone had a super time. You must do it again.
