Janice Rosenthal-Rock: In Living Color!

Here you see Janice preparing color-coded forms for a survey in our mobile home community. Note her smile: Janice is never happier than when she’s doing something useful and creative!

For example, recently she (single-handedly) stuffed a donated bookshelf into the trunk of her car and delivered it to our community library.

Speaking of books, for several years as head of our book club, Janice has organized an annual Christmas book drive for children at Acres of Hope, (a local shelter for moms and their children.)

Oh yes … Janice is also an artist. You might have seen her creative greeting cards in previous Bright Ideas posts. Many of her cards are donated to people in the military and moms at Acres of Hope, for their own personal use.

Janice has been helping her husband through some difficult physical challenges for quite some time now; so, she does all this other stuff in her spare time.

As in this photo, day after day, Janice shows her ‘true colors.’

Gotta love her!

  4. I don’t know Janice, but it sounds like she’s one of those women who sprinkles abundant kindness over everything she touches. The world needs more just like her!

  5. When I worked at Acres of Hope, I would often use the beautiful hand-made cards. The cards went to the children and moms for their birthdays. Also, residents (the moms) would ask me for a card from our card cabinet to send to a loved one. She would lovingly choose which card was most appropriate to send. Thank you, Janice!

  6. Janice always warms my heart with her open and welcoming personality. She has keen intellect and a wealth of knowledge through reading and life experiences. I feel so lucky to call this wonderful woman my friend. Be good to yourself Janice!
