Bobbie Brown’s Creative Light Shines On!

I met Bobbie Brown at the Auburn Senior Center Arts and Crafts Show.

Bobbie spent her career managing her nonprofit business, “Music Talk,” a program encouraging autistic children to sing. One can only imagine Bobbie’s creative energy and joy during the years she guided those children to feelings of mastery and delight!

“After retirement,” Bobbie says, “I had time on my hands.” Researching online, she discovered how to make fragrant and imaginative handmade soaps through the website: “Brambleberry.com.”

Breathing in the fragrance of the cinnamon-camellia soap I purchased, I was struck once again by the creativity and determination of senior women. Who says we sit in our rocking chairs after retirement? Who says physical changes diminish us?

I loved Bobbie! Who could not? Her obviously devoted grandsons, Aiden and Lucas, sat by her side, ready to lend their young strength in any way needed. Bobbie sat smiling, her lovely little light still shining bright!
