Lynda Lauts: Artist at Work

When I met Lynda Lauts at a craft show, she was in the process of painting small landscape pieces. As we talked, she continued painting restful, interesting, thought-provoking nature scenes on small canvases in front of her. She made it look so easy!

Lynda realized she had a calling for art when she won two out of three prizes in an art show while in high school. She went on to major in art in college and developed her talent through the years.

While her art education and accomplishments are impressive, what especially stands out is Lynda’s passion for teaching art to non-artists of all ages. Visit her website (drawandpaintwithme.com) and you will meet some of her satisfied art students, as they attest to how quickly her instructions helped them and their children “draw, paint, and design with joy!”

Seen here with her granddaughter, Chanelle, Lynda says she has “always painted–and will always paint!”

Indeed, Lynda, your light shines bright in acrylic!

  1. Thank you. Your interest inspire’s my process and desire to share. I am changing up the approach I have had for years of teaching, so you may find that some of the buttons on my website don’t work. I hope you will stop by again in a few months or leave an email address so I may send you an invitation to a free class when I am again up and running.

I visited your website – very impressive with beautiful art! It’s exciting to see how you share your talent by teaching others!

    1. Thanks for your kind thoughts. I am in transition as to the way I will be approaching teaching. I am always seeking better ways to bring art to those who want to experience the wonder it brings to one’s life.

  3. I’m going to check out her website. I’m definitely a non-artist and have often wondered if I could paint. Thanks for sharing your love of art!
