Mary Diefendorf is a creative potluck artist. You never know what she’ll show up with, but you know it will be delicious, appealing, and, if it’s an appetizer, you’ll eat so much of it, you won’t be hungry for dinner.
I had to share with my Bright Ideas sisters what she brought for our Easter potluck. I knew I’d found my title when someone said, “That’s just too cute to eat!”
As you can see, the deviled eggs Mary holds are decorated with a couple of egg tulips and green onion stems. That clever. But look at the darling baby chicks, made simply from small crackers, a soft cheese, and pepper-corn eyes.
Believe me, those little Easter darlings “flew” off the plate. Thank you, Mary, for your lovely smile and your always-amazing cuisine.
We love you!
Mary too cute. Thank you. I always need inpriation
Oh yes! They were pretzels, not little crackers! Thank you Marilyn, for reminding us. Sheila
I did sample the Little Chick Appetizer, even though I said it was too cute to eat, and discovered she used a pretzel as a base for her cute little chick. How clever Mary is with her creative art appetizers.
Wonderful! Such creative dishes!
I love the simplicity of these treats… so classy and clever!
