Susan Osborn’s Happiest Time of Day

Susan Osborn, Ph.D, M.S.W., says, “My writing time is the happiest time of my day.”

I’m sure all you creative women out there understand. Whether you make music, crafts, delicious food, or splash paint on canvas, once you are “in the zone,” time evaporates. Creativity = Joy!

When Susan wrote Assertiveness Training for Women, her creativity prompted her to share what she had learned about woman-power. When she wrote The System Made Me Do It! she sought to reveal sexism in the space industry. The Awful Bosses Coloring Book came next, as she shared her hard-won wisdom about the importance of maintaining personal integrity in a threatening workplace.

Susan’s current project is a memoir describing how coincidences  affect the trajectories of our lives. While her research is always on the Ph.D. level, her concise writing is for the rest of us.

Take a tip from Susan–set aside time to do your creative thing. It will be the happiest time of your day!

  1. I’m very fond of Susan and love seeing her frequently at Gold Country Writers events. She’s not only accomplished, she participates well with others. After reading this, I realize there’s a lot I don’t know about her. Time to get busy!
