Did you know our local animal shelter, “Placer County Animal Services,” is a no-kill shelter? That means every possible effort is made to find homes for lonely animals.
Kathryn Shields has volunteered at the shelter for five years. Four years ago, she fell in love with “Christine,” the beautiful cat you see on the right. Recently, although she had no intention of adopting a second cat, Kathryn was curious as to how Chrissy would accept a second cat, so she decided to foster a kitten for a few days.
Mind you, Kathryn has worked with many cats and kittens in the last five years. She loves them all. “But this time,” Kathryn says, “when I looked into her eyes, I knew we were meant for each other. I fell in love!”
What does Chrissy think of all this? With patience and cat-expertise, Kathryn is helping Crissy and her new little sister fall in love with each other. There’s a whole lot of purring going on in that happy home!
So happy fur you, Kathryn! They’re both beauties. Chrissy is lucky to find Kitty Paradise in your home.
Thank you, Lisa. See you next week.
Sooo grateful for wonderful volunteers like Kathryn who share lots of love with these sweet fur babies, looking for forever homes. There is such a HUGE need now, that volunteer help is absolutely crucial!! Kudos to Kathryn and others like her!!
Thank you, Janice. If you would enjoy doing so, come join us as the shelter. Volunteering is very rewarding and fun!
Look at those eyes blue oceans of love. So good you found each other. Happy purring
Thank you, Mary. Yep, there’s a lot of purring and meowing going on.
