The Gold Country Writers went all out for our Halloween costume party. I’m anxious to share the winners’ creative costumes on Bright Ideas.
Here you see the 1st place winner: Terry Wicks as “Lady Luck;” Lisa Schliff as a flamingo; and Phyllis Kalbach as a (very timely) suffragette, saying, “Get out there and vote!”
Gold Country Writers welcomes everyone: Wednesdays, 10-12, at City Hall, on Lincoln Way. Take that story or memoir you’ve hidden in the bottom drawer, and join us. The first Wednesday of the month is a business meeting—a good way to get an idea of what we’re all about. On the 2nd and 4th Wednesdays, bring five double-spaced pages of something you’ve written and we’ll share our helpful hints with you—or just come and share your impressions. On the 3rd Wednesday we always have an outstanding speaker.
So sorry if you missed the Halloween party, but no need to miss out again. Drop in to hear the speaker this Wednesday. You can sit by me! Sheila
Colorful, that’s what we women love.
Thanks for the report & photo, Sheila. I was sick . . . ugh! & missed a great party.
